At least that what it feels like without broadband.
Having moved into a new flat just before I left for holiday, I decided to leave getting hooked up with a fat pipe until I got back. So it’s been a couple of weeks now and I’m starting to get the shakes from being offline.
Not only does it make working from home an impossibility, but even the most mundane things, like finding a company phone number, become a mission. I even had to use the Yellow Pages the other day. The indignity of it!
Still, I’ve signed up with Telewest now and, despite some truly shocking customer service, I’ve received all the bits and pieces and am ready to set up my wireless network at home.
It’s good to be back!

It is a shocking state of affairs, being deprived of connectivity: why! you should try the Isle of Wight, it’s like going back in time, there isn’t an internet cafe to be seen nor even mobile top ups….the addiction of the functionality of internetium is something to be reckoned with; imagine this: a world where the whole www collapses….cries inconsolably
