Money and my Money
Money and My Money is a financial investment comparison site, analysing and promoting the best bank accounts, bonds and credit cards. British broadsheet newspapers already feature these in the back pages, but the idea was to take it onto the web, where it can be updated quickly and more frequently.
I was pretty much given free reign to do whatever I wanted with the design and decided to go for something which evoked a feeling of traditional newspapers.
Unlike a lot of my designs, there’s very little imagery used at all, the whole design created with text and a smattering of colour. When I talked a while ago about getting back to basics with design, this was the project that I was working on. Simple content based, with an emphasis on typography and content hierarchy.
